It is traditional for employees of movie theaters to watch a movie première early. The sneak peek shows for “employees only” is a tradition. That is not allowed with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Disney warned theaters against advanced employee showings. Disney even threaten to pull Star Wars: The Force Awakens from any movie theaters caught showing the movie.
In the day and age of spoilers, Disney is pulling out all the stops to keep the plot and twists of Star Wars: The Force Awakens a secret until opening day. Only a limited number of press have seen the movie and just this week.
I am hopeful all the secrecy leads into the most awesome movie since… Return of the Jedi.
