Daredevil: Born Again successfully made the leap from Netflix over to Disney+, reuniting beloved cast members and seamlessly weaving Matt Murdock and company into the main fabric of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the continued storylines have kept fans hooked, major shifts are currently underway behind the scenes at Marvel Studios.
The eight-episode third season of Daredevil: Born Again is expected to land on Disney+ in early 2027. However, Marvel has officially confirmed that Season 3 will serve as the series finale, dashing hopes for a fourth season. In addition to ending the series, Marvel parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane during post-production on Season 3.
While the broader Netflix-era defenders aren’t getting traditional full series spin-offs, Frank Castle did make a brutal standalone return earlier this year in the Disney+ Marvel Television Special Presentation, The Punisher: One Last Kill.
Following the cancellation news for Daredevil: Born Again, fan-favorite star Deborah Ann Woll (who plays Karen Page) has already locked in her next major project. Woll has officially joined the cast of Hulu’s The Testaments—the hit spin-off series to The Handmaid’s Tale—as a recurring guest star for its upcoming second season, playing a seamstress named Sylvia who works closely with the wives and daughters of Gilead.
While it’s disappointing to know that Daredevil: Born Again is drawing to a close after its third season, the series has given fans an incredible run. We can’t wait to see how the Man Without Fear wraps up his saga—and we’re equally excited to see the phenomenal Deborah Ann Woll tackle the world of Gilead!
