What happens when we stop just listening to the stars and start talking back? That is the chilling question at the heart of Signal One, a provocative new science fiction thriller from writer-director Jonathan Sobol.
The film stars Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan) as Annika, a brilliant computer scientist recruited by a charismatic but nihilistic tech billionaire, played by Dennis Quaid. Taken to an isolated, high-tech facility on a remote Caribbean island, Annika is introduced to “Littlemouth”—a machine capable of communicating with extraterrestrial intelligence.
As the team realizes that alien life isn’t just out there, but has been communicating around us all along, the mission shifts from observation to active contact. This “Signal One” sets off a dangerous chain of events, pushing humanity toward a threat far beyond its control.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Josh Hutcherson (Five Nights at Freddy’s), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Kiera Allen (Run), and Raoul Bhaneja. Blending sophisticated “real” sci-fi with pulse-pounding suspense, Signal One looks to be a must-watch for fans of high-concept genre cinema.
Signal One arrives in select theaters and on Video on Demand on June 5, 2026.
