Nominated for Original Score – John Williams, Visual Effects – Roger Guyett, Patrick Tubach, Neal Scanlan, and Chris Corbould, Sound Editing – Matthew Wood and David Acord, Film Editing – Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey, and Sound Mixing – Andy Nelson, Christopher Scarabosio, and Stuart Wilson.
The only Star Wars movies to garner more nominations was the original Star Wars film (A New Hope). Star Wars received ten nominations and won six awards.
