Bringing back prior series has become the new norm. NBC brought back Heroes for a new group in Heroes Reborn (not renewed for another season). On January 24th, Fox will bring back X-Files for their 10th season after a fourteen year hiatus.
Fox now plans to bring back 24 for another round. 24 came back for a shorten season in 2014, 24: Live Another Day with Kiefer Sutherland as the unstoppable Jack Bauer.
This time around 24: Legacy will not focus on Jack but on a new group of characters. The lead character is Eric Carter, a military hero. He is in trouble and has information on a potential terror attack in the U.S. He is joined by a former head of CTU as his female co-lead.
24: Legacy will start shooting next winter.
