So a lot of my posts lately have been from the realm of Star Trek Fan Films, and most have centered on the character of Erik Minard. Minard was created and played by my friend on Facebook, Vance Major Owen. He is moving into the final phase of both his and Minard’s fan film journey. Vance wants to step away from films and concentrate on what is his greatest creation, his son Royce. While his fans are going to miss him on film, it is understandable that he wants to step away and concentrate on his family. Below is a synopsis of his final phase of films and their release date. I am compiling a list of questions for an interview with Vance about both his career in film, and in “the real world”, look for it in the next week or so(as soon as I finish coming up with questions for what I feel is a rather interesting guy).
So here are the films and dates of release on youtube. Of course I will review them as they come out, because not only do I like his work, but I like sharing my thoughts on a rather unique individual character.

When a boy from the future becomes known, Minard enlists his network to prevent the quadlithium from falling into the wrong hands.
January 19, 2018 – “Persona”
“Persona” means “mask or facade presented to satisfy the demands of the situation or the environment and does not represent the inner personality of the individual, the public personality”. It is often used in plays and novels. (I wonder does this mean we will see Minards mask finally fall off)
January 26, 2018 – Change
On the eve of retaking Deep Space Nine(love that he is bringing DS9 into his films)from the Dominion forces, one distress call changes everything for Captain Minard
February 2, 2018 – Full Circle
After the loss of her mentor, a newly Captain Xing pays her final respects, and meets her true destiny
February 9, 2018 – The Best Things
Following an attack by the Sucullon, an orphaned boy changes the life of Minard forever. This final film is being released on the day of Vance’s son Royce’s birth, and will include both father and son together on film. a fitting tribute to end the saga of Erik Minard.
