The Super Bowl just gave DC fans something to cheer about with a stunning new trailer for the upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), this film is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated entries in James Gunn’s new DC Universe.
A Glimpse of Krypton
The latest footage offers a poignant look back at Kara Zor-El’s early life on Krypton before its tragic destruction. One of the trailer’s most heartwarming (and heart-wrenching) scenes shows a young Kara walking with her family when she is greeted by an adorable, puppy-sized Krypto the Superdog. This connection to her home planet explains why their bond is so much deeper than just “man’s best friend.”
The Survival of Argo City
The trailer also provides a high-octane look at the fall of Krypton, specifically focusing on Argo City. We see the desperate moments as the city’s massive forcefield is activated, allowing a small piece of the planet to survive the explosion. This “life of loss” sets the stage for a version of Kara who is much more jaded and battle-hardened than her cousin, Clark.
Interstellar Vengeance
Based on the award-winning comic by Tom King, the film follows Kara and a young alien named Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley) on a gritty, interstellar quest for revenge against the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts).
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to soar into theaters on June 26, 2026. See the Trailer below.
