We posted a link to the very adult and Mature movie short Power/Rangers. It is an interesting take on the 90s children’s live action series, Might Morphin Power Rangers. There has been a ton of responses to this Movie Short.

Vimeo has taken down this fan fiction from their video site by the request of Saban Brands (Haim Saban- creator of Power Rangers). Joseph Kahn took to multimedia to respond about the video being taken down by stating fans need to enjoy it while they can.

“Saban is trying to shut Power/Rangers down,” Kahn tweeted. “If you’d like to keep watching, tell them to stop harassing me.” In separate tweets, Kahn laid out his legal defense. “Every image in Power/Rangers is original footage. Nothing was pre-existing. There is no copyrighted footage in the short. I am not making any money on it and I refuse to accept any from anyone. It was not even Kickstarted, I paid for it myself. This was made to be given away for free. It is just as if I drew a pic of Power Rangers on a napkin and I gave it to my friend. Is it illegal to give pic I drew of a character on a napkin to someone for free? No.”  (Deadline)

JASON DAVID FRANK who played Tommy, the Green Ranger, had his take on this short movie. He stated that he was invited to be in the movie but decided against it. He is a PG 13 type of guy and wasn’t a fan of the idea of the drugs, nudity, and darkness. Below is the link from his Facebook page.

Amy Jo Johnson, the original Power Rangers’ Kimberly, had this to say about about the fan film.
