According to The Hollywood Reporter, Arrow will have a new big bad for Season 3. After they introduced the The League of Assassins (AKA The League of Shadows) in Season 2 with Black Canary, it is not surprising that Ra’s al Ghul will be introduced and used in Arrow as the Big Bad. Matt Nable, of Riddick fame, will portray the criminal mastermind.
Ra’s al Ghul is a great bad guy. He is usually associated with Batman and not with Green Arrow. He should have the same type of antagonistic relationship to the Starling (Star City) City hero. This should be a ton of fun.
Here is my burning question. Does the addition of Ra’s al Ghul to Arrow, prevent the character from showing up on Fox’s Gotham City television series? I wouldn’t think so but you never know.
Arrow Season 3 will start on Oct. 8 on The CW.
