Marvel Studios has announced the lead for their Daredevil Television series on Netflix. They have cast Charlie Cox of Boardwalk Empire fame. *** Edited for Clarification– Charlie Cox will be both Dardevil and his secret identity, the blind Matt Murdock.*** Daredevil is set to premiere next year for 13 episodes on Netfix. I don’t know much about Charlie Cox. I have heard that Boardwalk Empire is a fantastic series but I have never watched it. But I do trust Marvel to make a good casting decision. Hopefully this series with be all we had hoped the movie would have been.

I’m confused. The title is, “Marvel Casts Matt Murdock”, but the text of the blog entry says, “… the lead for their Daredevil Television series on Netflix. They have cast Charlie Cox…”. So is it Matt or Charlie?

Matt Murdock is Daredevil’s Secret Identity. So Charlie Cox was cast as both Matt Murdock and as Daredevil.
