Fox Confirms Pursuing X-Men TV Series

According to TV Line, the Fox’s network co-chairman Dana Walden is exploring and pursuing an X-Men TV Series. Fox is in negotiations with Marvel to bring an “X-Franchise” to television. The Superhero television series are very popular with shows like The Flash, The Arrow, and Daredevil. It makes a ton of sense for Fox to bring an X-Men related series to Fox.

Negotiations between Fox and Disney could be interesting. They have been at odds for some time now over the Fantastic Four and X-Men franchises. To bring an ongoing X-Men series to the Fox Network, they will need to find a benefit for Disney to receive their approval. It could be very interesting.I am curious what line of the franchise Fox will put on television. A team series is my assumption for a series. An X-Force movie is in discussion by 20th Century Fox. Other X-Teams include The New Mutants, X-Factor, Excalibur, and Generation X. The New Mutants would make a KOOL series but it is the team that evolved into the first round of the X-Force comics but that could change for the television and the movies. Excalibur would be another interesting ongoing series set in London. Generation X had a lame television series over a decade ago. A later version of the X-Factor might be interesting but they cannot go with the original X-Factor team since they are in the X-Men movies already.What team and what version of the team would you select for an “X-Franchise” television series.
