Why I’m Excited for Netflix’s New Dinosaur Documentary

I can still picture the dinosaur poster that hung on my bedroom wall when I was a kid. It was packed with different species, and I could proudly name them all. My love for dinosaurs started early, and like many kids, I imagined what it would be like to live in a world where they still roamed the Earth.

Of course, now that I’m an adult—and especially an adult who has watched every Jurassic Park and Jurassic World film—I know that bringing dinosaurs back would be an absolutely terrible idea. But that hasn’t dimmed my fascination one bit.

That’s why I’m incredibly excited for Netflix’s upcoming documentary series Dinosaurs, debuting March 6, 2026. Directed by Nick Shoolingin‑Jordan and narrated by the iconic Morgan Freeman, the series promises a cinematic, scientifically grounded look at prehistoric life. Honestly, they had me at “dinosaurs,” but add Morgan Freeman’s voice and I’m all in.

If you’re a fan of paleontology, creature documentaries, or anything related to the prehistoric world, this is one release you won’t want to miss.
