Tina Turner passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Tina was 83 years old. According to Rolling Stone, she “died peacefully” Wednesday after a long illness.
Tina was an American-born Swiss Singer. She was often called the Queen of Rock And Roll. She grew to fame with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue where she sang with her then-husband. Tina went on to have a sensational solo career including a great revival in the 80s.
For us geeks, she played the great Mad Max villain, Aunty Entity. She controlled Bartertown. Turner’s charisma poured out of her character Aunty Entity.
Rest In Peace, the Queen of Rock and Roll. You will be missed.
