Rest In Peace Roger Moore

Rest In Peace Roger Moore

Sir Roger Moore passed away on Tuesday at age 89 in Swtzerland.  Moore lost his battle with cancer.  He will have a private funeral in Monaco.

Moore is known for his roles on television with The Persuaders and The Saint before he became a famous movie star.  He starred in numerous movies over the years.

Moore is best known for being the third James Bond after Sean Connery and George Lazenby.   Moore portrayed James Bond with more tongue and cheek humor than Connery or Lazenzby.  He remained calm and suave in any situation.

Here is the list of his Bond movies.

Live and Let Die (1973)

The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

Moonraker (1979)

For Your Eyes Only (1981)

Octopussy (1983)

A View to a Kill (1985)
As a kid, Roger Moore was my favorite Bond.  The humor of his character was an instant attraction for me.  He had much better gadgets than Connery and Lazenby.  I loved the Moore villains especially Jaws.  Moonraker is a crazy and weird film but I love it to this day. I grew to love all of the Bonds for different reasons but Moore’s Bond will always have a special place in my heart.

Moore saw his work with UNICEF as his top achievement.  He was passionate about helping others.

Thank you, Roger Moore, for sharing your life and your life’s work with us.  Rest In Peace, Mr Bond, aka Roger Moore.

Below is the Duran Duran video from the theme song to A View to a Kill.  A View to a Kill was Moore’s last Bond movie and one of the best.
