Remembering Hayden Panettiere: Heroes and Nashville Star Dies at 36

Actress Hayden Panettiere has passed away at the age of 36. Emergency services responded to a 911 call reporting a cardiac arrest, but paramedics were unable to revive her.

In an emotional statement, her father, Skip Panettiere, shared: It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”

Panettiere’s versatility as an actress spanned decades. Country music fans adored her portrayal of Juliette Barnes in the hit drama Nashville, while Disney fans fondly remember her as competitive figure skater Gen Harwood in Ice Princess alongside Michelle Trachtenberg. She voiced Princess Dot in Pixar’s A Bug’s Life and played Sheryl Yoast, the football-loving daughter of Coach Bill Yoast, in Remember the Titans.

Horror fans embraced her as a franchise icon playing Kirby Reed in Scream, but for many, she will always be best remembered as Claire Bennet—the invincible, quick-healing cheerleader on Heroes who gave pop culture the iconic mantra, “Save the cheerleader, save the world.”

Wherever you best knew Hayden Panettiere from, her loss is felt deeply across the entertainment world. Gone far too soon, she will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Hayden.
