Paramount announced that they will be bringing Terminator back to the big screen. There had been rumors about a Terminator 5. Speculation had this movie picking up where Terminator 4 ended. But that was not to be.
The new Terminator movie is a reboot. It will be in theaters sometime in 2015. They are planning a whole Trilogy of new Terminator movies. There is no current word if Arnold will be in this Trilogy or not.
James Cameron will not be directly involved in these films. Cameron will take back the rights to the Terminator franchise and characters in 2019. The new Trilogy needs to be complete by the time Cameron takes back over.
This bit of news surprised me. I anticipated the continuation of the series. I am not sure what I think about this reboot. It could be really KOOL but I had to mess with the original two movies. What do you think about this reboot?

I thought Salvation was basically a reboot and it fell flat. Whatever they do, it’s time to have an old war-torn Arnold make a cameo to show he is the basis for the T-800 series framing. That would be right for now, but a whole new story would be welcome. I really enjoyed the Sarah Conner Chronicles before it got terminated, so I will keep my hopes up for this.
