Microsoft opened up their deep pocketbooks and bought ZeniMax Media for 7.5 Billion dollars in cash. This is almost twice as much as Disney paid for Star Wars. This is a huge deal for Microsoft to buy all of ZeniMax but mostly for Bethesda games.
Bethesda games is one of the most popular game makers. Their top games are Fallout, The Elder Scrolls and Doom. With this purchase, Microsoft has the exclusive rights to all of these games going forward. It is possible for them to only create Bethesda games for the X-Box and PC.
