April was Pet Month, so I thought to end it on a fluffy good note, introducing all of you to our pets. ^_^
Artemis:
Age: 10 years old.
Owners: AJ and Shpoo
Got You Story: Had since he was born
Breed: Border collie beagle mix.
Favorite Toy(s:) She hates to play but loves to sleep
Fun Facts:
- She is an introvert and does not like people.
- She does not bark but howls and talks.
- She says I love you momma a lot.
Daffy:
Age: 5
Owner: Joe
Favorite Food: To eat trash
Fun Facts: Is slow-moving and often cranky.
Jake:
Age: 7-8 years
Owner: Mandy and Eli
Got You Story: He was rescued from the highway and fostered by our Easterseals Support Coordinator, but her dogs were not a fan, so we adopted him.
Breed: West Highland Terrier mix.
Favorite Foods: French fries, apple slices, carrots, and doggie cookies (if he goes in his crate.)
Fun Facts:
- He tolerates the boys like a grumpy grandpa, but is anxious when they aren’t home,
- He will climb up and lie on my chest when my depression and anxiety are bad; he just knows,
- He knows the ‘Life360’ sound means his daddy is coming home.
Midnight:
Age: 3
Owner: Joe
Fun Facts:
- Loves to ride in the car everywhere with Joe,
- She is antisocial,
- She loves to sleep under the covers.
Kitsune:
Age: 4Nicknames: Kitten and Kitten Girl
- Kind of shy,
- Will snuggles on laps for hours.
Neko:
Age: 2- She is very social,
- She will always come when dinner is called,
- She loves to get on counters and tabletops when she thinks no one is paying attention.
River:
Age: 10- Is usually a good boy,
- Loves to ride in the car,
- Is very empathetic and does not like when people are hurting or have bad dreams

Age: Almost 11
Owner: Morgan
Got You Story: Morgan’s dad found her and her siblings with their momma (all strays) at five months old. Morgan came to visit her dad after church, and this kitty ran to her through the yard, dropped down, and played with her skirt. Her dad said she never did things like that. Morgan’s hubby came over to meet her and fell instantly in love. They were moving to a new place in a month, so Morgan’s dad took care of her until she moved in on December 5th at six months old.
Favorite Food: Anything with cheese and gravy. She gets violent for DQ chicken strips!
- Socks has been lately trying to climb/scratch my wall above my head hard to wake me up or try to bat at my poster! Sleep has been alluding me. Sighs…
- She loves to cuddle with my husband when I get home and give me a ‘ha, ha, I got daddy now’ look. Derrick says she ignores him until I get home.
- She will always pause what she is doing and stare at the TV when she hears the “Sailor Moon” theme song or transformation music! My precious moon kitty!
