The company was started in 2022 by Stuart Chance, in Lafayette, LA. With over 20 engineers, combining more than 130 year of experience, they are an up and comer in the Unmanned Maritime space. One of the main spaces they work in is Underwater Hydrographic Surveys. The company can do both shallow water and offshore bathymetry. Chance Maritime can also do both Defense and Security work. Because their USV’s can operate for long periods, they can keep things such as underwater cables and energy assets, under survaillance. In the military space they can use their craft for both mine countermeasures and using ROV(remote operation vehicles) for UXO(unexploded ordnance).
Right now there are 3 USV craft that are available for leases from Chance Maritime Technologies. they are:
MC-29, a 29Ft craft that that has a top speed of 7.2Kts, with a maximum operation time of 20 – 30 days, depending on Mission Profile. It has a Maximum Range of 5200NM

LR-30, which is optimized for long distance Hydrographics and Fisheries Surveys. This is a 30Ft craft with a maximum speed of 14Kts and a maximum endurance of 14+ days. This Craft has a Maximum Range of 1700NM.
