Have you every wondered how an episode of a TV series or a movie comes together. It takes place in the “writers room”. What is a writers room you asked, it is a place where the writers get together and bounce ideas about to create a script scene by scene. This was the focus of the “Away Mission” led by The Orville actor J. Lee. 7 people including myself, spent close to an hour creating a scene that would be read by the Orville Cast Members in attendance. It was a fun task, that I wasn’t originally a part of(I was just going to cover it for GeekyKool, but I was invited to add my input, and it was probably the most fun I have ever done at a Con.
The best part was after the scene was done, it was decided that the characters would play the name of the character on the scene, even if it wasn’t the one they played in the show.
