CISPA may be more dangerous than SOPA was…

It is interesting that there’s not been an uproar over CISPA like there was for SOPA.  That may be due to the fight we just won and thinking it was all over.  Here’s an article about the bill from GovTrack.us and one on Wikipedia, an FAQ from CNet and an article from BETANews.  All of which are interesting reading.  Here’s a great graphic on the issue from Lumin Consulting.

Lifehacker also has an interesting article on some of the theories on what might happen if CISPA gets signed into law.  Some seem really out there but the more I read about this new bill, the more it seems likely that your every move, if not already now, will be tracked completely and apparently used against you when someone needs it.

<sigh>

Is a new call-to-arms going to be necessary?  We will see where CISPA goes and decide very soon I think!

  1. I oppose CISPA with the same enthusiasm as I opposed SOPA. Government control and enforcement of the Internet is impossible overstepping. Bryan and I differ greatly on many political ideals but we are both united and agree on this.
