Brad Bird, the original director of The Incredibles, will direct The Incredible 2. In an article with Collider, he verified that the sequel to The Incredibles will be his next film.
Bird made a name for himself by directing the The Iron Giant in 1999 for his directing debut. His next film was The Incredibles, which is my favorite Pixar film. He followed it up with Ratatoullie. He directed Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. He is currently promoting his latest film, Tomorrowland. I have really enjoyed every movie Bird has directed so I am very hopeful for Tomorrowland.
Bird has been in some discussions of directing a Star Wars film. He has not yet committed to directing one of these films but it is possible after he is finished with The Incredibles 2. I believe Brad Bird would be a great director for a Star Wars movie.
