Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully are officially stepping out of the shadows and back into the FBI’s basement. Chris Carter’s re-edited director’s cut, titled The X-Files: I Want to Believe — Vrach Frankenshteyn, has officially arrived.
Years after walking away from the bureau, Mulder and Scully are called back to assist on a disturbing standalone case involving a missing FBI agent. Subtitled Vrach Frankenshteyn—Russian for “Doctor Frankenstein”—this version restores the darker, body-horror elements originally toned down for the 2008 theatrical release.
