Wile E. Coyote: Self-proclaimed “Super Genius”… or the universe’s ultimate victim of defective product manufacturing?
For decades, Looney Tunes fans have argued whether the Coyote’s endless string of Southwestern desert catastrophes was caused by his own hubris or the downright dangerous engineering coming out of the ACME Corporation’s factories. Rocket skates, malfunctioning catapults, faulty giant rubber bands—at what point does product liability kick in?
We’re finally about to get a verdict. The final trailer for Warner Bros.’ long-awaited live-action/animation hybrid Coyote vs. Acme has officially arrived!
Directed by Dave Green (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows) with a story by James Gunn, the film sees Wile E. Coyote hire a down-on-his-luck billboard lawyer (Will Forte) to sue ACME for decades of defective gadgets. Standing in their way is ACME’s ruthless, slick corporate defense counsel, played by John Cena.
After a long road to the big screen, Coyote vs. Acme officially hits theaters on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Check out the hilarious final trailer below to see if Wile E. finally gets his day in court!
