Well known creative leaders Chris Perkins & Jeremy Crawford from Wizards of the Coast- Dungeons and Dragons both have recently left their positions. Perkins and Crawford have been the lead designers and faces of the Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition and the new 2024 revision. They are known for their creativity.
Both of these men recently stepped down from their roles with Wizards of the Coast. There have been speculations that they were being pushed out of their roles but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Darrington Press, the print and game arm of Critical Role, made the announcement that both Crawford and Perkins will join Darrington Press. No announcements of their exact role. The recently released Darrington Press’ Daggerheart role playing game is in direct competition with Dungeons and Dragons. Picking up the best known designers from D&D does show that Daggerheart does intent to be true competition.
