An epic journey doesn’t get more legendary than The Odyssey. Written by Homer, this ancient classic has set the standard for adventure stories and heroic quests for centuries.
The heroic King of Ithaca, Odysseus, fought valiantly in the Trojan War for years. When the war finally ended, all he wanted was to return home with his men and reunite with their families. Little did they know that the end of the war was only the beginning of a much greater adventure—and an even longer separation from their loved ones.
Throughout his journey, Odysseus must face raging storms, vengeful gods, deadly sirens, and the fearsome Cyclops Polyphemus. As if those challenges weren’t enough, trouble is brewing back home, where his wife, Penelope, and son, Telemachus, anxiously await his return while dealing with threats of their own.
If anyone can bring this epic tale to the big screen in a way that does justice to its scale and grandeur, it’s Christopher Nolan.
The Odyssey stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o, with Zendaya and Charlize Theron also featured in the cast.
The film opens in theaters on July 17, 2026. Check out the trailer below!
