Zack Snyder Directing The Justice League Movie

justiceleague
According to the Wall Street Journal, Warner Bros. has announced that there will be a Justice League movie with their DC Comics characters. It will be the follow up movie to the Man of Steel sequel (aka Batman vs Superman). Like both the Man of Steel and the upcoming sequel, Justice League will be directed by Zach Snyder.

Greg Silverman, Warner Bros.President of Worldwide Production (what a mouthful), stated that the Justice League movie should include Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.  He went on to say that Warner Bros will continue to expand the DC movie universe in cinema.  We also expect that  Ray Fisher will be Cyborg in this Justice League movie (to bad there isn’t a Teen Titans movie with Cyborg).

Many DC Comic fans have to be nervously excited about this announcement.  If Batman vs Superman (or whatever the title becomes) is a hit, then they will finally get the DC superhero team up movie that they have been craving for years.  There is hope that it will be a huge success like Avengers has been for Marvel.  Finally DC fans will have their time with their favorite characters in the spotlight.

But a portion of the DC fans (and comic fans in general) had some major issues with the Man of Steel movie.  I definitely felt Man of Steel traded some its heart for over the top action.  Zach Snyder’s directing style is not likely to change. Will fans be happy enough to have a possible Justice League movie if the keys of the kingdom are in Snyder’s hands?  It looks like they will have live with it for the foreseeable future.
