Radio Host and Babylon 5 Star Jerry Doyle has passed away at age 60. Doyle was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 17, 1956. In 1976 he received a bachelors of aeronautics, and became a corporate jet pilot. Doyle also spent a decade as a stock broker on wall street. In 1991 he moved to Los Angeles and became an actor. his first role was on the Bruce Willis series “Moonlighting”. He also had a recurring role on the soap opera “the bold and the beautiful”. He is best known for his staring role for 5 years on the Sci-fi show Babylon 5 where he played head of security Michael Garibaldi. He also hosted “the Jerry Doyle show” where unlike a lot of political commentators, he was not a right wing or left wing host, but someone who searched for answers from either side of the aisle. Doyle also owned the website “epic times”.

On July 27th, Doyle was found unresponsive in his LA home. His family announced his death shortly after. Tributes have flowed in from co-stars, B5 Creator J. Michael Straczynski, and many fans on the many Babylon 5 facebook pages.

Doyle joins other B5 Stars Richard Biggs, Michael O’Harra, Jason Carter, Jeff Conway, Andrea Katsulas and Tim Chote beyond the Rim.

RIP Mr Garibaldi, we will meet again beyond the rim
