The Powerpuff Girls will have their World Premiere Special event in a couple of weeks as they return to the Cartoon Network. This event will have a very special guest. Ringo Star, former drummer of the Beatles, will voice mathematician Fibonacci Sequins for this special. Not only will Ringo make an appearance on the Special but here he is singing “Wish I Was a Powerpuff Girl”. Check it out. (Via The Mary Sue)
My daughter and I loved the Powerpuff Girls when they were on Cartoon Network years ago. I love the idea of the girls coming back. Ringo Star being added to the cast for the Special only adds to the fun.

It would be a little less, um, awkward, if the person singing “I wanna be a … girl” did not have hair on his chest, perhaps Beyonce or Amy Grant or — OK, any woman. But they got Ringo Starr, so it’s hard to complain. My family has always loved PPGs and it’s great they’re reviving the series. My favorite episode has to be the broccoli aliens…and how they are finally defeated!
