What happens when an ordinary day at the office turns into a multi-billion dollar nightmare? That is the question at the heart of Steal, the high-octane new thriller series arriving this month on Prime Video.
The series stars Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Zara, an unassuming office worker at Lochmill Capital, a London-based pension fund investment company. Her world is turned upside down when a gang of armed robbers—disguised in high-tech prosthetics—invades the office. The thieves don’t just want the cash in the vault; they force Zara and her colleague Luke (Archie Madekwe) to execute trades that wipe out billions in ordinary people’s pensions.
While the premise begins with a robbery, the show quickly dives into the “butterfly effect” of the crime. Is this a simple case of armed theft, or is there a massive conspiracy involving British intelligence? As DCI Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), a detective battling his own gambling addiction, begins to peel back the layers, it becomes clear that no one is who they seem.
With all six episodes dropping at once, the series promises a “uniquely thrilling ride” that focuses heavily on the fallout of the crime and the messy aftermath that ruins lives.
Mark your calendars: Steal premieres on Amazon Prime Video on January 21, 2026.
