On Sunday, I had fun panel talking about the 1980s. I called it, “I Love the 80s.” This was a celebration of my love for the big decade. I cranked up a variety of 80s tunes from pop, new wave, and rock of the decade to set the mood.
Panels on Sunday are sometimes not well attended. I was pleasantly surprised with our attendance. The vast majority of those that joined in were not alive during the 80s.
I took questions from the group. One of the young ladies is working on novel set in the 1980s and had a lot of great questions about culture, life, and geekdom.
Often we forget that a deep love and passion for a decade can be uber geeky, but it sure can be. I am a proud 80s culture geek. I loved having a chance to share it with others. I really enjoyed presenting this panel.
