Lucifer, which ran for 3 seasons on Fox before being cancelled, and picked up for a 4th season on Netflix, has been renewed for a 5th and final season by Netflix. The show which tells the story of Lucifer Morningstar(played by Tom Ellis) who is “bored” in Hell, so he gives up the throne, and opens a nightclub called Lux in LA. At the end of the 4th season, Lucifer decides to go back to Hell to stop the upcoming apocalypse which has been foretold because he has abandoned hell.
Friday Netflix officially announced a 5th season, and star Tom Ellis gave a reaction that was well in a word “kool”

No date for the 5th season has been released, but i expect it to be somewhere around May 2020.
Myself and plenty of other fans shouted with glee today, as Lucifer is an excellent series, and getting a proper sendoff will give both us and Lucifer the closure we deserve.
