According to Variety, the awesome Cartoon Network girl power cartoon, The Powerpuff Girls, have a live action series in Development. The CW is developing a live action sequel series.
The girls, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, have now grown up. They are resentful that their childhood was spent saving the world as super heroes instead of enjoying life. The world needs them again but will they put on the costumes and save us all?
The CW has had success adapting shows like Riverdale that were based on kids comics. Could The Powerpuff Girls be adapted in a similar way? I am cautious about this but I am interested to see how it plays out.
