After the massive success of Fox’s Deadpool live action movie with Ryan Reynolds, there will be an Animated Deadpool series on FXX. The Merc with the Mouth has guest starred on other animated series in the past including The Ultimate Spider-Man.
Actor Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover will write and produce this adult oriented animation. The Glover brothers will be the showrunners for this action and comedy series. It has been reported that they have a writer’s room set up in London while Donald Glover is filming the Han Solo Star Wars anthology film. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory will act as executive producers on this series.
You can expect the same type of crude humor and zany action in this series that was in the live action movie. Having the cartoon FXX always this series to have adult themes and humor that wouldn’t go over on channels like Disney XD.
