Socks? Ties? Hawaiian Shirts? In-laws? Christmas mornings can lack the magic we all want. Luckily this year Sony has us covered by offering us the perfect break this Christmas. Part ways from the Christmas season for the afternoon and slip into the warm Amazon! Anaconda starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd is the gift we never knew we needed until now.
Normally a movie about saving a movie franchise would have me skeptical, but with this cast I can’t help but assume the amount of cheesy dad jokes and juvenile humor mixed in with large snakes will easily keep me entertained.
To reboot the Anaconda franchise Jack Black decides to grab his friends played by Paul Rudd, Thandiwe Newton and Steve Zahn, and cash in their life savings to take a pet anaconda to the Amazon to film a new Anaconda movie. The chance to hang out with friends doing something they always dreamed of takes a turn for the worse as their snake dies in an unfortunate accident, leaving them to wander the Amazon in search of a new Anaconda to allow them to finish their film.
I’m not passing on mashed potatoes or this movie on Christmas and hope to see you all there too!!
