Pixar Animation Studios is taking us on a gorgeous, existential trip to Italy. The studio has shared enchanting details for its next original animated comedy, Gatto, which is officially slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 5, 2027.
Set against the stunning, sun-drenched backdrop of Venice, the film tells the story of Nero, a streetwise black cat who begins to experience a mid-life crisis. Finding himself deeply unsatisfied with the repetitive nature of his feline routine, Nero starts questioning his choices, his purpose, and exactly how he wants to live out his remaining lives in the historic canal city.
