Spider‑Noir Swings Into the Shadows for MGM+ and Prime Video

Spider‑Noir is coming to MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video as an all‑new live‑action series, reimagining the popular alternate‑universe Spider‑Man story through a 1930s noir lens. Set during the Prohibition Era, the show blends gangster drama, private‑eye mystery, and super‑powered action into a stylish noir thriller.

The series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, also known as Spider‑Noir—or simply The Spider. This version of the character leans heavily into classic noir tropes, placing a masked vigilante in a corrupt city filled with mob bosses and shadowy figures.

The newly released trailer gives us a behind‑the‑scenes look at the show’s rogues’ gallery. At the center is Silvermane, portrayed by Brendan Gleeson, serving as the primary mob boss pulling the strings. The series also introduces noir‑inspired versions of familiar villains, including Sandman (Jack Huston), Tombstone (Abraham Popoola), and Megawatt (Andrew Lewis Caldwell).

One of the most intriguing features of Spider‑Noir is how viewers can choose their experience. The series can be watched in classic black‑and‑white to fully embrace the noir aesthetic or in full color for a modern twist. Personally, I’ll be watching it in black and white—but the choice is entirely up to you.

Check out the trailer below. Spider‑Noir premieres on May 25, 2026, on MGM+ in the United States and will consist of eight episodes. All episodes will be released globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026.
