The Wizarding World is officially returning to our screens, but with a major twist. This time, the story of “The Boy Who Lived” is being reimagined as a multi-season scripted series for HBO Max.
The inaugural season will adapt Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (or The Philosopher’s Stone for our international fans) across eight expansive episodes. This longer format promises to dive deeper into the lore than the original films ever could, giving fans a more book-accurate look at the halls of Hogwarts.
From the first teaser, it’s clear we are going to see many of the most famous scenes from the novels and the original movie series, but with a fresh creative lens. The aesthetics feel different, yet there is an undeniable sense of nostalgia that makes it all feel very familiar.
