We return to the world of Panem with The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping—a prequel to the original trilogy and a sequel to The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Based on the novel, this story follows Haymitch Abernathy as he competes in the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. This special edition of the Games was a double-numbered event and became the bloodiest in history.
The film features an all-star cast, including Joseph Zada, Mckenna Grace, Whitney Peak, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Ben Wang, Elle Fanning, Kieran Culkin, Lili Taylor, Billy Porter, Glenn Close, and Ralph Fiennes.
