Four athletes. One legendary game before entering the battlefield.
Following the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, four American football players decide to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. After enduring intense boot camp training, the troops take a brief respite while preparing for the brutal Battle of Okinawa—facing off in an iconic gridiron match that famously became known as the Mosquito Bowl.
Directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon) for Netflix, The Mosquito Bowl is based on Buzz Bissinger’s acclaimed 2022 bestseller, The Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II.
The film opens in theaters this weekend on October 30, 2026, before streaming on Netflix. Check out the trailer below!
