MillarWorld Bought By Netflix

via millarworld.tv

Way back in 1968, Warner Bros purchased DC Comics. In 2009, Disney bought Marvel Comics.  In 2017, Netflix has acquired MillarWorld.

Some of you will not recognize MillarWorld but most of you will know some of the comics and movies based off of it.  The Kingsman movies are based off of a MillarWorld series of the same name.  The Kick-Ass movies are from the MillarWorld series.  The movie Wanted was loosely based of the MillarWorld comic.

Some of their other comics are Reborn, Empress, Huck, Jupiter’s Circle, Jupiter’s Legacy (as seen above), Chrononauts, MPH, Starlight, Superior, Super Crooks, and Nemesis.

I have heard awesome things about the series Empress, Huck, and  Jupiter’s Legacy.  All three of these series are on my radar but I have not read any of these.  I haven’t ventured very far outside of the big two publishers.  When I do, I am amazed by the KOOL stuff out there.

It sounds like Netflix will have free reign to create movies and series based off of these comic series except for the Kingsman and Kick-Ass since both of these have current contract with movie studios.

Netflix has rocked their adaptions of their Marvel series.  Daredevil has been top notch.  I cannot wait to see what they do with the MillarWorld comics.
