The highly-anticipated Wonder Man limited series is officially coming to Disney+ on January 27, 2026!
This series offers a refreshingly meta look at the MCU’s version of Hollywood, centered on aspiring actor Simon Williams (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Since he was a kid, Simon has loved the character of Wonder Man from the movies and passionately pursues the lead role in a major remake.
The irony? Simon Williams is an ordinary man auditioning for the role of a superhero who, unbeknownst to the film crew, is about to gain actual ionic superpowers in real life!
The show also features the return of a fan-favorite MCU character, Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), the failed actor who masqueraded as the Mandarin. Slattery is now Simon’s mentor, bonding with him over their shared love of the acting craft—a relationship that promises plenty of Hollywood satire and laughs.
