In the 80s and 90s, the Video Store was a core part of any town in the United States. We had our big box video stores like Blockbuster and numerous other ones. There was also a ton of mom and pop shops including in gas stations. This is the story of the rise and fall of video stores in America.
There was something magical about going to the video store to pick out your weekend entertainment viewing. There were times we spent hours trying to pick a movie. We were disappointed when we realized the box was empty and the store had no more copies of the movie you picked.
