The countdown to launch has officially begun! Nintendo and Illumination have released the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie during a special MAR10 Day Nintendo Direct. This sequel to the 2023 billion-dollar blockbuster is heading away from the Mushroom Kingdom and straight into the stars.
A Royal Debut and a Surprise Return
The trailer gives us our most detailed look yet at Bowser Jr. (voiced by Benny Safdie), who appears to be leading a mission to rescue his father. But the King of the Koopas isn’t gone for long—Jack Black’s Bowser makes a thunderous return, seemingly more powerful than ever as he looks to conquer the cosmos.
Donald Glover is Yoshi!
In a massive surprise announcement, the final trailer also revealed that Donald Glover has joined the cast as the voice of Yoshi, who makes his long-awaited big-screen debut. Joining him are Issa Rae as Honey Queen and Luis Guzmán as the villainous King Wart.
They join returning stars Chris Pratt (Mario), Charlie Day (Luigi), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), and Brie Larson, who voices the mysterious Rosalina.
