This past weekend, was the 5th annual Tidewater Horror Convention. This event brings together Horror fans and actors for 3 days of panels, cosplay, autographs, and fun. This year’s lineup of celebrities included Danielle Harris, Paul Lacouvara, Lew Temple, Douglas Tait, Melanie Kinnman, Dick Wieand, Ron Sloan, Bob Desimone, Brad Loree, Frankie G, Tom Cook, Laurene Landon and Beverley Mitchell.
There was a Friday the 13th Part V cast reunion, and a Saw 2 cast reunion. Here are some of the great cosplay and things I saw during the weekend.
On Saturday my good friend George Kontaratos and 757Hustle did a walk through and interviewed both Ashley Grant, and Jon Tessler. Ashley was at the Convention as a Vendor selling her novels “Empty Cargo” and “If the King Falls”, Jon was her “assistant for the weekend”.. Here is the footage that George shot on Saturday.

On Sunday I started doing interviews, and my first one was with Brad Losee, who played Michael Meyers in Halloween Resurrection. Brad does not like horror films, or “new” technology….it made for a fun interview. and yes, I realize I said his last name wrong…..my bad!!!!
My second interview was with Hanna Barbara animator and director Tom Cook. Tom was a great interview, because He started ,working in the cartoon industry in 1979 working on Plastic Man. His best known series are Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, Thundarr the Barbarian, SuperFriends, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, GhostBusters and The Jetsons:The Movie.
My last interview at the Con was with AJ, Reardon and his sons Nick and Eric. AJ runs Huckleberry Haunts and his sons run Valin Lilith Productions. They are a military family that lives in Chesapeake, Virginia, and they make Tombstones(Huckleberry haunts) and his sons make Props and animatronics for Valin Lilith, which is run by Nick. Eric does the Animatronics and has just started out, but he makes some cool moving skulls that AJ attaches to the Tombstones. First here is a short video of their items at the Con

All in all it was another great Con, and Ashley and I look forward to next years Con.
