There will be a special end of the movie clip at the end of Amazing Spider-Man 2. Unlike the Marvel Studios movies, this clip will not have anything to do with Spidey, Spider-Man villains, or even an upcoming crossover. Sony Pictures has made a deal with Twentieth Century Fox productions to have a clip from the upcoming Fox movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. At this time, this deal is only valid in the United Kingdom.
Many people are making this news into more than it is. There is a lot of speculation that Spidey and the X-Men are bound for a team up. At this time, there is no evidence that this will ever happen. In fact, it doesn’t appear that the X-Men movies and Spider-Man exists in the same universe.
The X-Men movie clip will focus on the characters of Toad, Havok, and Mystique. They are fighting with William Stryker and the military. Having a clip that spotlights Jennifer Lawrence’s character of Mystique makes a ton of sense because of her immense popularity.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits US theaters on May 2, 2014.
