According to Turner.com, the TNT Network has renewed their Sci Fi, Alien Invasion series, Falling Skies, for a fifth and final season. This is exciting but sad news at the same time.
Falling Skies has been hit and miss with the plot and story over its 4 seasons (in the middle of season 4 right now). But over all, I have really enjoyed this series. It has a lot of heart and a great special effects. It has characters that I have grown to love. I am excited to see it picked up but also sad that it will be ending.
Falling Skies has averaged over 5.5 million viewers weekly on TNT. This is a top 5 viewing number for cable networks.
In my sadness that it will end after next season, there is a silver lining. The show will be able to go out on its own accord. It won’t be canceled out of the blue. With an end date, I hope the writers will have chance to appropriately wrap up this fun sci fi series.
