We are in full geek convention season. If you are looking for a convention to meet that need, we have one for you in West Plains, MO. OzCon is a fun 3 day convention just down the road from Springfield, MO.
The fifth annual OzCon opens their doors on Friday at 1:00 PM. The fun continues through Sunday at 5 pm. There is something for the geek in everyone including a floor with awesome vendors, Special guests, panels, and gaming.
OzCon is unique in that they were created created by bringing two awesome groups together. Missouri State University-West Plains Computer Graphics and Programming department and the the local chapter of Association for Computing Machinery joined forces to bring us OzCon.
Two of our friends are Spotlighted Special Guests at this convention. The awesome and good friend Toni Globis is a costumer, cosplayer, and theater production tech. She is a steam punk expert. She loves to educated others on the fun of conventions, cosplay, and overall KOOLness.
The equally awesome and good friend, AJ Blanton, is an expert prop and accessory maker, costumer, and creator. She is an artist, photographer, and creator of all sorts of KOOLness with her . Her shop, ABeesCreations, is an awesome place to find your geeky needs.
The small price for admission is worth it just to meet these two ladies. I can’t wait to hang with their awesome selves.
I have had several recommendations for Geeky KOOL to cover OzCon. Lots of friends have told me personally that it is a must attend event and to cover. We plan on attending multiple days next year.
