The new Google Calendar app for Android

The new Google Calendar app for Android

Here is the new Google Calendar app for Android.   It is available right now for devices running Android  5.0- Lollipop.   It will start rolling out on the Play Store soon for Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean and above.  Google is also creating a full fledged calendar app for the iPhone but there is no projected release date yet.

From watching the video, the new app is very beautiful.  It has a lot of color and flash.  It appears to be as smart as it is pretty.

Here are a few of the benefits of the new Google Calendar.  It will pull information from your email and inbox to add things automatically to your calendar such as reservations and concerts (Already does this on my Google page).  It auto populate information as you type by looking at your location and contacts.
