Batman: The Killing Joke
is a classic graphic novel from 1988.  It was written by the master of unusual comic book stories, Alan Moore.  It was illustrated by Brian Bolland.

The story takes the Joker to a new level of pschotic.  He breaks into Commissioner Gordon’s home to torture him.  In the process of breaking in, he shoots and paralysis Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl.  He sets a trap for Batman.  This is a dark and twisted tail of Batman and Joker being two sides of the same coin.  This story was never meant to be a part of DC Continuity.

DC Animation will adapt this notorious graphic novel into an animated movie.  This dark and gritty graphic novel will become an animated film.  It will star the voices of Batman and Joker from the Animated Series, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy.  Conroy was the gritty voice of Bruce Wayne and Batman.  Mark Hamill is the iconic face of Star Wars as Luke Skywalker but tons of fans know him as the crazy voice of the Joker.  Both Hamill and Conroy have voice their characters in several other Batman related videos and animated movies.
